OKShort - Terms of Use

OKShort was created as a free service to shorten long URLs, and may only be used for actual URLs.
Using it for spamming or illegal purposes is forbidden and any such use will result in your OKShort url being disabled and you may be reported to all ISPs involved and to the proper governmental agencies.
This service is provided without warranty of any kind.

OKShort - Examples of Use

Firstly add us to your favourites you know you will need us again!

Then add it to Facebook so others know about our great FREE URL REDIRECTION services or use the share button below.

Prevent Email spam on you website and mask your email address

Examples:

Our email address is info@okshort.com
We would like to add an automated subject line of "What A Great Site"
So a normal html link would be mailto:info@okshort.com?subject=What A Great Site
We run that through OKShort and get http://www.OKShort.com/t4Ju383hg
The add our new CONTACT US link using our new shorter url and one that is hidden from the spam bots!

Shorten Your Affiliate Links

This is great for affiliates, because it shortens the link and also hides where you are actually sending your visitors to. 
Because if our visitors were to remove the amazon affiliate link details here http://www.amazon.co.uk/b?%5Fencoding=UTF8&node=560820&tag=1tel-21&linkCode=ur2&camp=1634&creative=6738 and go direct to Amazon.co.uk we would not receive any commission as Amazon would not know that the link had come from us. 
This is common with most affiliate schemes.

So to safeguard ourselves, we drop the long Amazon link into OKShort and get http://www.OKShort.com/f5Gl907py we now promote this OKShort URL, it goes to the same place, but we know we will not lose out!
